Happy Anniversary, Mommy and Daddy!

This day in The Blube history:

March 26, 2000 - 11 years ago (!), Mommy and Daddy went on their first date. The rest is The Blube!

B.Y.O.B

So Mommy and Daddy took their little tax-deduction to his first meeting with the accountant. Then the family celebrated the end of another solvent fiscal year with lunch at Robbie's first restaurant, Thai Star. It's B.Y.O.B (Bring Your Own The Blube).

Baby of the Month: March

So just before the 5:00 feeding, Robbie had a photo shoot for the completely imaginary Baby of the Month Calendar. He really worked the camera, his attitude was very "The Blube."

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Robbie, Mommy and Daddy wish all a very happy St. Patty's Day! Apparently, Guinness is good for breastfeeding moms - Dr.'s orders, honest!

So Robbie had a great doctor's visit today. He's back up to his birth weight, which is great and his color is good, so no more sun bathing. Dr. K said Mommy and Daddy get passing marks, we should just keep doing what we're doing and put it 'in cruise control.' Robbie got a pretty nice grade, too - only an A+!

Baby of the Night

Robbie and Mommy are really settling into a nice groove with the feeding schedule - each night they've been gaining more and more confidence, and it's been getting easier and easier for both of them.

Between chow times last night, though, Count Dad-ula needed a feeding of his own:

So Robbie decided to give gDiapers a try (http://www.gdiapers.com/) and we have to say, so far so good. Not at all inconvenient, provided Mommy or Daddy has the cloth shell and disposable/flushable/compostable inserts pre-assembled. Plus, have you seen a cuter dupa? Friggin' adorable!
Anyone have any luck with these? Good things to say? Bad? While you think about it, here's a picture of the other end, which is pretty adorable, as well:
Robbie's eyes are open here, which is rare during this time of day. He generally sleeps the afternoons away which gives Mommy and Daddy a chance to catch up on some things like sleep, the dishes and 'Days.' Stefano- what a slime-ball; and please, don't get us started on this whole Rafe/clone thing.

Our Little Potted Plant

So one of our wonderful professionals described our little Robbie (or "The Crankmeister General" as he was referred to last night) as 'vaguely jaundiced.' It was suggested that, like any common houseplant, we stick him in the window for a few minutes everyday to absorb some nourishing vitamin D.











Mommy and Daddy look forward to the day when our little family of houseplants can soak up the sun together on Waikiki!

Welcome to The Blube, a brand new blog capturing and celebrating the life and times of Robert Louis Stevenson Sweeney, a/k/a The Blube, a/k/a Our Son.

The chances are very good that if you're reading this you know the standard stats, time of birth, weight, length, blah, blah, stuff like that. This blog will give us a chance to not only share some pictures of our cutie, but also to share the real important information and milestones such as: The Blube's First Fortune!
Too true, too true, though he does most of his socializing fast asleep. So check back here regularly, we'll post as often as possible. I'm sure we'll have some good material later when we take The Blube's Second Car Ride - gotta visit the doctor, then get Mommy some new slippers - fun stuff!
